Bruises: My battle wounds

I’ve never bruised easily. Like, ever. If anything, I would get hurt, be sore, and have absolutely no physical manifestation of what happened.

Enter Crossfit.

I’ve been getting bruised since I started, but it was almost exclusively on my legs. Most likely from smashing into bars, putting down cleans, etc., etc.

But recently, I’ve really been getting into the Sunday kettlebell class, and good lord, that has me totally beaten up. I’m now sporting bruises over both wrists and both forearms from smacking into kettlebells.

Is it wrong that part of me kind of likes it?

They’re my battle wounds.

What are your battle wounds?
