Yeah, I’m kind of weird. My weeks revolve around Fridays. Get over it.
Saturday: Made decision to start run training. Did 20 minutes of run/walk circuits (mostly walking, let’s be honest), which ended up being a breezy 1.5 miles around Washington Park
Sunday: Rest day + pancake fail day (more on that later)
Monday: Hit WOD, an intensely fierce 20-minute AMRAP of five thrusters, seven hang power cleans, and 10 sumo deadlift high-pulls
Tuesday: Legs and shoulders SUPER sore, hit WOD, a deceivingly tough strength day of max rep back body-weight back squats and hand-stand push-ups
Wednesday: Broke in my abmat with sit-up warm-up. 30 minutes of run/walk circuits in Washington Park. Five minutes walking, 30 seconds running. No cheating!
Thursday: Smoked the WOD (maybe I need to rethink scaling next time?) of seven rounds of 10 wall balls (8#) and 10 ring-rows at 5:36. Also improved 1k row score, replacing 4:50 from last time with 4:20!
Friday: Rest day!
So…how did I do?
