Should I be scared?

All this stuff I’ve been reading about the Albany Police Department has me all freaked out now. Between obscene ticketing and unethical practices, I am now scared to park on my own street!

But I suppose that’s no matter; the other night I came home around 12:30 a.m., and there was absolutely no parking anywhere near my apartment. After looking for 10 or 15 minutes, and several trips around the block, I found a spot on the far end of a creepy and dark block to park, and the car had to be moved by 9 a.m. that morning. Now, I’m renting a spot down the street for emergencies like that. Gag!

    1. Yeah…in the last few days, I’ve heard LOADS of stories of people getting towed multiple times. Better watch where I park. And here, you’re supposed to park 15 feet from fire hydrants. Ick!

  1. Ugh, what a drag. I used to pay for a garage when I lived in downtown Portland, but the garage was too scary, so I never wanted to go into it. People liked to hang out ON my car! So I ended up keeping the car on the street around 17th and Morrison and moving it all the time. I feel your pain.

    1. Ooh! That’s no good. The spot that I got is a solid ~4~ minute walk from my apartment, but I think it’s going to be a godsend, especially during the winter. 😦
