Congratulations, Heather! (Now go vote!)

Way back in high school, I met Heather through a mutual friend. It was senior year, and soon after meeting, she moved away to New York. I thought it was the coolest thing ever that she attended FIT, and was becoming a fashion designer.

I didn’t know anyone like her, and I became totally smitten with her sketches. So much so, that I tried several times–but to no avail–to draw something totally awesome like that.

In any case, I was always in awe of the stuff that she produced.

So it’s really no wonder that now she’s a wedding designer, and she’s also a semifinalist in’s Operation Dream Dress. The dress that she’s designed and submitted is absolutely stunning. It’s a form-fitting and glamorous mermaid-style ivory gown with elegant lace details all over.

She emailed me today, asking that I vote for her in the contest, and it’s really a no-brainer.

I encourage you to also vote for Heather Richard at the contest page, and check out the other semifinalists, too. Also be sure to check out her Etsy site, where she’s selling awesome fascinators, custom sketches, and other lovely things.

Good luck, Heather! We’re rooting for you!
